As we said this is the election of certain events at a suitable time when all the forces of nature are in harmony. Each moment has got its potency and as CARL JUNG said "whatever is born or done this moment of time has the qualities of this moment of time." Cosmic radiation pouring at the moment on earth from outer space and coming from various stars and planets act on our brain cells which take up these cosmic and transforms them in electric impulses. These impulses set in motion our thoughts, words and deeds, and also the course of our action. Muhurta therefore gives valuable directions by following which the person will be enabled to remove, neutralize, counteract, or overcome the evils indicated by any malefic position of the planets in a chart. Thus muhurt helps one to minimize or modify the full extent of the evils of our past karmas.
To determine the correct muhurta a birth chart should be completed and a gochar chart for the time in question should also be done. The house positions of the planets are to be considered as given and an appropriate time followed. Tithi days and numbers are given in the CALENDAR OF LUNAR DAYS at the back of this book. The Stars are also given.
"WORSHIP is of three kinds: that performed daily, that offered on particular occasions, and that made for the attainment of special aims." (Rudra-yamala Tantra [614].) The daily rituals as well as the rituals ordained for certain days of the year should be performed by everyone. They are man's religious duties, his participation in the cosmic life and its cycles. "A man must have a chosen deity, but he must also honor the family deity, the village deity, the village guardian angel, the village genie (naga), on the prescribed occasions." (Vijayananda Tripathi, "Devata tattva," Sanmarga, III, 1942.)
On the other hand, worship performed to obtain the realization of a desire has no compelling character and is done only by those who feel the need for it. Yet if we use worship as the instrument of gain, whether spiritual or material, it is essential to know which kind of divinity we should propitiate and through which procedure. The divinity worshipped and the technique of worship are different if the aim of worship is to achieve a particular result, obtain a particular quality, reach a particular stage of worldly or spiritual accomplishment. When the saint prays to obtain liberation, the thief to succeed in his enterprise, the soldier to kill his enemy, although each may address his prayer to the same divine name, the divinity which may acknowledge it is in fact a different state of being, a different god.
When we invoke an abstraction in the hope of saving our life or winning a war, our prayer is wrongly addressed because an abstraction can have nothing to do with the forms and interests of the manifest world. It cannot answer prayers, much less favor worshippers. Only the minor deities, the subtle beings who are part of the inner life of things, can co-operate with man in such matters, and it is these deities which should be approached through the proper ritual channels. A forest deity, however, will have no power to help man in spheres of abstract realization.
Man becomes what he worships. His desire is the essential form of his becoming. Krsna, the embodiment of love, says in the Bhagavadgita (9.25 [615]): "Those who worship the gods become gods; those who worship Ancestors become Ancestors, those who worship the elements master the elements, and those who worship me gain me." THOSE WHO WORSHIP YAMRAJ, BECOME DEATH LIKE, THOSE WHO WORSHIP THE DEVIL, BECOMES LIKE THE DEVIL, AND SO LIVES LIKE ONE.
In the west , and in some places in India, people who have been misguided by many false priests who encourage them to worship the LOWER SPIRITS or Ghosts who may have been people who were accidentally killed or willfully sacrificed by others, and for which this lost soul never found freedom to go to the heavens: Such souls require someone to worship them before they can be freed, so they appear in people's dreams assuming the appearance of Swamis, Pundits and Devtas and encouraging then to do wrong worship. By the time the person realize that he had sold his mind to the devil, its usually too late and the spirit would already have attained some freedom to heaven. Incidentally after ONE YEAR, because he or she had tricked the human person, the soul is in misery again, looking for another "sucker" to trick for one more year of MOKSHA.
THE FOLLOWING PUJAS OR RITUALS SHOULD NOT BE DONE BY ANY ONE WHO SEEKS HAPPINESS & PEACE... DOING ANY OF THESE PUJAS WILL RESULT IN FAMILY MISERY, ABORTIONS, MISCARRIAGES, FINANCIAL DOWNFALL, BLOCKAGES, SICKNESS, SEPARATIONS, ACCIDENTS, LOVE PROBLEMS, IMPRISONMENTS AND MORE.....None of these are found in the Vedic Texts
In the Bhagavata Purana a list is given of the deities who are to be worshipped for particular aims:
WORSHIP can be of different forms. It can be mental or external, collective or individual. It can begin with abstract contemplation and end in outward ceremonial or the reverse. The external worship of the yogi is only the instrument that leads to abstract contemplation.
"The highest stage is that in which the Immense Presence is perceived in all things. The middle stage is that of meditation, the lower that of hymns and rosary. Still lower is the stage of external worship."
"The worship performed by the initiated is of two kinds, internal and external. Internal worship is ordained
only for those who have renounced the world. Both internal and external worship are necessary for others."
(Tantra Samhita.[617]
"The worship of images of stone, metal, jewels, or clay leads the seeker of liberation of rebirth. Hence the man who wishes to renounce the world should worship only in his own heart and fear external forms of worship so that he may not have to live again." (Silpa Sastra, p.27.[618])
In the final stage of realization, the yogi does not perceive anything but an Immense Presence pervading all appearances. At this stage no outward ritual exists any more. All physical and mental functions have themselves become ritual, that is, have ceased to have any purpose other than to support the contact between the yogi and the object of his contemplation. When life itself becomes a hindrance, the lingering remnant of an already past existence, the yogi has ceased, for all practical purposes, to be a human being.
